This evening I tried to have my internet connection with telkomnet@instan by my telkom flexxi (prepaid). According to thepreaxz writing aboout the setting and configuration to get it work, I have set my connection configuration below:
username : telkomnet@instan
password : telkom
dial no. : 080989999
But, when I tried to connect, it was not worked, can not connected. This is the same case like thepreaxz wrote at his writing. And then I called Telkom Flexi Customer Care (dial 147, then press 1, and followed by 1 again). A woman from telkom flexi answer my question about that problem, and gave me a suggestion to check and correct username, password and dial number (make it same with configuration I wrote before). Ok, then I check my configuration again. But, there was not any wrong with it. I called 147 again for the second ones. At this time, another women (different person with the first ones whom receieved my first call) gave me a suggestion to set my extra setting (at modem option) to be at+crm=0. Ok, then I checked my modem configuration. But, it was set with at+crm=0.
I called 147 again (it’s the third call), and I was served by a man who asked me whether I used postpaid flexi or prepaid flexi. I said that used prepaid flexi. And he gave me a statement that telkomnet instan connection with telkom flexi only can be used if I using flexi postpaid. So, I will never connect to the internet with telkomnet instan, if my flexi card is prepaid flexi. Ooohhh…, is it true???? Of course, my conncetion always failed.
But, I try to verify about that statement. I searching with google and get some information from “Bung Instan” – consultation column at telkom.net. Bung Instan answered Amy Question about “Telkomnet instan via Flexi”. Here the complete Q and A :

Flexi Data net dapat menggunakan Akses Telkomnet Instan. Akses TELKOMNET INSTAN adalah akses komunikasi ke internet gateway dengan mode data sirkit pada network TelkomFlexi dengan kecepatan aksesnya sampai dengan 14.4 KBps.
Cara Akses
Agar Anda dapat mengakses TelkomNet Instan melalui network TelkomFlexi, lakukan setting dial sebagai berikut :
* No Dial : 080989999
* Username : telkomnet@instan
* Password : telkom
Setting Command
Untuk akses ke TelkomNet Instan yang perlu diperhatikan adalah AT Command String (Extra Initialization Command) modem pada terminal yang digunakan harus disetting : AT + CRM = 0. Bila setting ini diubah menjadi AT + CRM = 1, maka akan berdampak pada perhitungan biaya akses berdasarkan besaran data yang ditransaksikan.
Biaya
Biaya yang dibebankan untuk akses ke TelkomNet Instan dihitung berdasarkan lama waktu akses ( duration ) ke internet.
